 Well well well, I know you didn't expect this release from us. But also SQ
 loves legends, and this is what I call a fncking legend: THE BEATLES!
 We present to you, this brand new album from The Beatles, called "LOVE".

 After being asked by the remaning Beatles, Lennon and Harrison, to make
 experimental mixes from the oringial master tapes for a collaboration with
 Cirque du Soleil, Sir George Martin (the legendary producer from The Beatles)
 and his son have been working with the entire archive of Beatles recordings
 to create LOVE.

 The result is an unprecendeted approach to the music. Using the master tapes
 at EMI's Abbey Road Studios, Sir Geroge and Giles have created a unique
 soundscape. The relase of this album, wich is also featured in the Cirque De
 Soleil/Beatles collaborative production of the same name at the Mirage Hotel
 in Las Vegas, has been much anticipated.

 "This music was designed for the LOVE show in LV but in doing so we've
 created a new Beatles album" he said. "The Beatles always looked for other
 ways of expressing themselves and this is another step forward for them."

 "We took all the Beatles catalogue from tape, the original four tracks, eight
 tracks and two tracks and used this pallete of sounds and music to create a
 sound bed. What people will be hearing on the album is a new experience, a
 way of re-living the whole Beatles musical lifespan in a very condensed
 period."

 This album will be released at 20-Nov-2006 worldwide, but we could't wait

Three sonic trajectories which tie and untie. Three creative entities to
orchestrate the whole. John Sellekaers (Xingu Hill, Dead Hollywood Stars),
Daniel De Los Santos (Tamarin) and Mathias Delplanque (Lena, Bidlo) open
us the door to a universe whose maze conceals a multitude of other doors.
Some are half-open, others are closed and many are, at first sight,
invisible. As we explore further, we must let those secret doors some
time to take shape, to reveal themselves…and it will then be possible to
fix our attention on various aspects of the sound labyrinth that is
presented to us, to come and go while letting ourselves be carried by
the waves and the modulations, which then become our exploratory vehicle
and form one body with us in the journey…Indeed, many doors are hidden,
but they are awaiting to be discovered, probed…Behind them, fullness or
emptiness?

Here, John Sellekaers, Daniel De Los Santos and Mathias Delplanque have
concocted a sound fabric which explores the tangents uniting or
dissociating ‘lowercase sound? drone and dark ambient. Where does each
of those styles start, where does it end? No one could tell...
Nevertheless, HIDDEN DOORS brings its share of answers…in a very personal
way: lots of textures, palpable ambiences, subtle drifts. The whole is
produced in an elegant and stylish fashion.

     Warp have a long-trodden history of throwing curve-balls, I’m sure
     you all remember being shocked at their knife-glamorising
     ‘Satanstornade?record with noisemongers Masami Akita and Russell
     Haswell, and do I need to mention Maximo Park? Yes they seem not
     give a monkeys what the world thinks sometimes, and good on ‘em -
     this latest disc shows them on top genre bending, assumption
     confounding form. Okay so it’s related to Mira Calix and the
     London Sinfonietta, but that’s where the Warp connections start
     and end, Alexander’s Annexe’s debut disc is out on its own here.
     Comprised of a single thirty minute piece which the trio debuted
     at the 2005 Aldeburgh Festival, it shows off the three musicians
     skills marvellously.- Mira Calix gets to flex her sound processing
     muscle, Sarah Nicolls holds the piece together with her incredible
     work on the piano and David Sheppard holds everything together
     with his expertise as a Sinfonietta principle. The resulting noise
     is more than appealing, ranging from the minute scratching and
     squeaking of tiny mechanical creatures to bass heavy drones
     straight out of Sunn O)))’s back catalogue. Clearly the trio have
     looked to the mid 20th century innovators such as John Cage,
     Iannis Xennakis and Luciano Berrio, but the sound they end up with
     is notably contemporary. I don’t feel that Calix has ever before
     managed to achieve this kind of focus on a record, her solo
     efforts have felt occasionally quite indecisive, ‘Push Door to
     Exit?then is the perfect place for her to show that she is a
     major player in experimental electronic music. I certainly
     wouldn’t recommend this album to everyone, it’s without a doubt
     not an easy listen, but if you want a record that challenges you
     and isn’t afraid to excite your mind then look no further.

     silver monk time - 29 international artists take on the legacy
     of the monks

     in 1965 the monks were looking for a new zero point in pop
     music and created what later turned into the milestone record
     “black monk time? “black monk time?accidentally or
     intentionally pre-dated several genres that were to come:
     kraut rock, electronic music, heavy metal, punk, industrial
     and techno.
     when the monks in january 1966 launched their “living (pop)
     art project?at famous reeperbahn top ten club the largest
     german tabloid “bild-zeitung?wrote “noise, noise and no
     melody ?robot music!?
     in july of the same year the monks presented their black
     record for the first time live on the teenage tv show
     “beat-club? to the surprise of many they started the show
     with an improvised new song, which wasn't’t even on the
     record. you could call it commercial suicide. the song itself
     was archaic, one repetitive beat, three monks beating on
     gigantic tambourines, an organ gone mad, a guitar on the floor
     that fed back and at one point was shyly touched by four band
     members. all typical macho rock attitudes were taken out. it
     was pure and swinging joyfulness and seemed to have more in
     common with avant garde art than with regular pop music.
     therefore maybe it was misunderstood. to some degree though it
     was the end of rock music as we knew it. the monks called the
     song “monk chant? rumor has it that “monk chant?was supposed
     to be the one and only idea for their second long player. one
     primitive beat spread out on two lp sides. “the rolling stones
     are baroque, the beatles for old grannies, you, the monks are
     playing the music of the future, you are supposed to play the
     audience into ecstasy,?demanded their two german managers.
     this second (never released) record was to be called “silver
     monk time?
     play loud! is proud to announce 29 international pop bands who
     continue the musical journey initiated 40 years ago by the
     seven monks: gary burger, larry clark, dave day, roger
     johnston, walther niemann, karl-heinz remy and eddie shaw.

     crank it up and enjoy this brand new ecstatic monks record.
